What we do

Our white label ereader apps employs the Best-in-class DRM security with Readium LCP from EDRLAB. This is a secure DRM system which provides a frictionless service for the end-user. Unlike DRM systems from providers such as Adobe, the end-user doesn’t need to create a third party account.

As a member of EDRLAB, the association behind Readium LCP security, we are part of an association of publishers and technology companies committed to the highest standard in security while ensuring the ability to use our eBook reader is kept as accessible as possible. Membership of EDRLAB ensures we are held to the highest standards giving security to users of our technology.

In addition our app environment has been tested by third-party security testers on behalf of the world’s largest publishers, passing these most stringent of tests, giving you the security that your valuable content is protected.

This all means that our commitment to securing your intellectual property remains the highest priority. We will continue to reassess our security features in the future as part of this commitment.

What is Readium LCP?

LCP (Licensed Content Protection) Readium DRM (Digital Rights Management) is an emerging standard in the digital publishing industry, offering a range of benefits for both publishers and readers. One of its key advantages is its open-source nature, which fosters innovation and flexibility. Unlike proprietary DRM systems, LCP Readium DRM is designed to be interoperable, allowing publishers to distribute content across multiple platforms and devices without being locked into a single vendor’s ecosystem. This reduces costs and increases accessibility, ensuring a broader reach for digital publications.

For readers, LCP Readium DRM provides a more user-friendly experience compared to traditional DRM systems. It avoids the pitfalls of restrictive measures that often frustrate users, such as limiting the number of devices a single purchase can be accessed on or requiring constant internet connections for authentication. LCP's approach to DRM prioritises user convenience and privacy, making it less intrusive. Users can access their content offline once it is downloaded, and their personal data is better protected since LCP DRM does not require persistent user tracking.

Another significant benefit is the community-driven development model behind LCP Readium DRM. It is backed by the Readium Foundation, which includes stakeholders from across the digital publishing landscape. This collaborative approach ensures that the DRM evolves to meet the needs of the market, addressing issues as they arise and incorporating feedback from a diverse group of users and developers.

By using Readium LCP and being members of EDRLAB we are demonstrating our commitment to ensure publisher’s intellectual property is protected while also providing a frictionless experience for the end user,
